What do others have?
Plus when in, what time do they go to sleep!

DD 16 in a few months. In at 10pm weekdays and 11pm weekends which I think is too late really. Taken phone off her schoolnights and dont know what time she's going to sleep. she's in her room but I cant force her to go to sleep and I think she's trying to make a point by staying up late. She can crack on with that!!

We had so many arguments on this one. Mon - Thurs straight home from school , maybe allowed out until 5 pm Thursdays. ( school is close by !). Fri and Sat started at 11pm, crept later now it's 2pm. He's 17. Ridiculous I know. But NEVER out on a school night.

No curfew. Call as soon as you know if you are not going to be home as (so we don't wait up) and, if expecting a lift home, try not to make it after midnight if we have work the next day. Basic politeness really.

I don't have a time - it depends what they are doing, and also encourage them to take into account what else is going on - a 'one off' late night party is easier to cope with than a series of late nights, or later nights are easier to cope with if they don't have to get up before dawn the next day, etc.
As notquite said, it's about consideration, safety, and energy levels all combined.
I've also felt it's an important part of growing up to start to learn to take some responsibility for these sorts of decisions for themselves. If you just impose rules all the time at 15 and 16, they are not used to self-regulating when they go away without you - be that a holiday or off to university.
