What does your teen do on his computer?

Ok, I know I shouldn't have but I decided to check my sons internet history. Lots of stuff about "memes" also lots of time on "4chan." Could be worse, do you worry about what your teen does? Fortunately I think mine has stayed pretty good!

Must admit I don't check history. But from what I see its instagram, Minecraft and more MineCraft and MineCraft videos on YouTube.

Have you ever looked on 4chan, OP?

Wanked themselves raw probably but they survived and became well adjusted nice young men so hey-ho.

(They are in their 20's now before I get ban hammered)

4chan is horrible.

One plays WoW and FFXIV and then watches youtubers doing the same thing. The other does the same but with Minecraft and Cubeworld, ditto the not quite teen, although she likes to watch people open boxes too. I don't check the histories, but they tend to internet in the living room so I think I'd notice porn

My DS grew out of 4chan, by the time he was 18.

He mainly played games on his PC and went on Tumblr, FB etc.

Oh yes WOW, he did have a serious WOW addiction for a few months.

Tumblr is a massive web of porn, 4chan is just as bad. I expect most teens look at a lot of porn...

Sorry I know it's petty, but why 'his computer'... girls can have computers too (sulks as a female gamer)

Civ V, skype with his friends, retro gaming app, youtube (but he asks me every time), memrise and khan academy (when I make him), minecraft, dwarf fortress.

He has his laptop in the living room with the screen facing outwards into the room.

I wouldn't be thrilled about him going on 4chan, either.

4chan is blocked here but ds (15) loved reddit, he knows that only certain parts are suitable and generally sticks to those though. His PC is in the living room and visible form where I sit to work so I can usually look and see what he's doing.

I'm sure my teen has looked at some porn but I've never seen any evidence of it. He's a gaming geek so currently is playing some game whilst yapping to two mates. I forget that they are on screen and can see me when I go in to talk to DS in my tatty PJs until I see them waving at me . He also watches Anime videos (if that's how you spell it). Otherwise it's YouTube or finding new games on Steam.

Tilliebob, that's why I have a bit of tape over the camera on DS's laptop! Hate the thought of forgetting the camera is there and being filmed
