she asked me to put her phone on charge, and i was nosey.

Ask her what she would do if she fell out with this boy and her pic ended up plastered over the school.

Once she has sent it, it is entirely out of her control and in the public domain forever.

Proceed with extreme caution - she is likely to be so annoyed at you looking at her phone that she won't want to listen to you.

You need to talk about it, both for her sake and for the boy's.
Illegal images of children isn't just about the worst of abuse, this pic could be classed as illegal, and until she is 18 she is legally a child.

I'd let her know that her phone will be checked for the foreseeable future if this is how she is behaving.

Tell her that if her name is ever attached to the picture uni applications, job applications and even prospective boyfriends may Google her and find her not to be the kind of person they want to employ, date or offer a place to.

Tell her that you plan to print out the picture and hang up copies all over town on telegraph poles.

If she objects, ask her what's to stop the lad from doing that? Or one of his mates taking a screen shot & reposting it everywhere -- and why wouldn't he show it to just one of his mates?

How will she feels when someone at university finds it online to show her?

That stuff has happened, to real people. Didn't some woman MP have to deal with topless shots of herself surfacing, 15 yrs after she sent them to a boyfriend?

I honestly think if this was me I'd rather she was in a room with a boy in her bra than sending him pictures. It's the picture sending I'd be angry about, definitely.

yes 33goingon64 i agree, its sending a pic over internet thats my issue. i am not naiive enough to think they are not turning into sexual beings
