we usually pay £5 an hour (in west London)

hana £5 an hour, i don't even get that childminding. I'm moving to London

We pay the same as Hana for our local schoolgirl (london).
plus pretzels. And Diet Coke.

cost will depend on how much stuff you have to replace after the wild party shes going to throw the minute you're out of the door

£10-£20 for the evening i would think - but what would i know, i only use "free" babysitters!

and half the contenst of your drinks cupboard...old bottles of advocaat etc.

I was thinking #£20 for the night. Got to pay her train fare as well as she's coming from Reading to Southampton (Yes I'm DESPERATE to get out!!!)

I know....that's why we don't go out much! ends up being £20 for a night out plus what we do ( movie or dinner) usually do swaps with friends who also have kids, but that's getting harder to do as we all have at least 2/3 children a piece

In theory the night out won't cost as much as it potentially could as I'm a bit scared about leaving her. It's her frst time and our little ones are almost 5, 2 and a half and 6 months so I'll be constantly checking my phone all night!!!

Will have to make her a list of do's and don't, emergency numbers....what would you put on the list?

God i don't pay my brothers but they are both over the age of 18 - when i used to babysit some years ago, I used to get approx £10-£20 a night depending on how long I'd been there and what I'd had to do.
