Socks for teenage lads - do they care about brand?

I'm buying "christmas socks" for a 13, 15, 17 and 19 year old lad.

Any brands I should look for or avoid? Does it matter?

(I know socks are a shit gift but it's just to bulk the stockings up a bit!

I have a 14 yo who doesn't give a tin stuff for socks, branded or otherwise.

?? No idea but I buy DS (16) socks from anywhere.

He seems to get through them -literally - quite quickly.

Matalan multi packs are fine.

DS 16, doesn't care what socks he has, Theres a drawer full of thick,thin, sports and novelty ones. I wouldn't spend lots of money as they don't last long however much you spend,

DS only wears sports socks and is fine with unbranded M&S! However, beware getting the wrong sports label - he wouldn't be seen dead in Slazenger ones

And no, they don't last long at all. What is it with heavy-footed men?

I agree bigtilly about the sports brands!

I agree about the brands too - M+S is social suicide until they're about 20 ime.

Having said that my DS (15) does appreciate socks in very large sizes rather than the standard 6-11 as he has enormous feet.
