Teenage daughter failed A levels, has started college but is disconcerted

My daughter hated sixth form and so did badly in her A levelsd. She has started a fashion course but seems to feel that she is going to fail at everything for the rest of her life. She is overweight and shows less and less interest in socialising. I feel as though I have failed her terribly and should have taken control sooner.

She needs to take control of her own life. Is it the course she doesn't like?

Can she take a different course or try and get a job?

What did she hate about sixth form? Is there anything that can help build her confidence a bit, like a part time job?

She has a part time job, and I must admit that she is like a different person at work. She works part time in a shop selling beauty products and loves serving and helping customers. I have decided to get her some advice in her education so that she knows where it might lead, and to help her with healthy eating and exercise to boost her confidence.

Maybe she should leave college and try and up her hours at work.
