Relate - Teenagers Counseling - any experience?

CAMHS are not coming through for us. They haven't provided the help that they said would be forthcoming so I'm looking at private options.

Having done some research I found that Relate provides counseling for adolescents and have talked to our local branch who have confirmed that they can help.

Has anyone got any experience with their services for teenagers or would I be better looking elsewhere?

No, but would be very interested to hear about it. We went through Trent (www.trentpts.co.uk/) for CBT....worked to an extent though YD not open enough with them for it to work properly. Was a short term thing and unfortunately now finished and it's all going a bit downhill again, though think they will keep her on if needed, but she puts such a front on people don't realise her problems. Trent say they only see 18 plus year olds but they saw her as she was 16, nearly 17, and in a black hole for mental health services (CAMHS wouldn't take her cos she was over 16 and not on books and doctor told us Trent wouldn't but I sorted the Trent thing out myself, they saw her for a talk to see if they would take her and immediatley said she had to come and see them every week. )

Hope you get sorted, you feel so alone when can't get help for you and yours.
