Dd is 12 1/2 and is quite spotty black heads on her nose and spots on her forehead we've tried several different spot treatments that don't seem to really do anything.shes tried nurtrogena scrub, boots facial pads, asda scrub, hot oil cloth to name a few can anyone recommend anything that isnt going to cost me an arm and a leg and that is simple to use.

Simple skin care the spotless range is amazing and isn't to expensive.. You will have to get a couple of products for them to work. I would suggest the roll on spot cream, spot moisturiser, spot face wash and the spotless face scrub for black heads. Also the SuperDrug multi use face mud mask is good as well...

DD is the same age with the same problem. Witch hazel is helping a bit and we have all the superdrug spot products although we haven't tried the mud mask...

Curly The mud mask is around £3 and you can use it 5/6 times and it's really good for once a week use.

my kids keep their spots under control using this:\www.boots.com/en/Boots-Tea-Tree-Witch-Hazel-Spot-Wand-2x-3-5ml_1213612/

My dd have been using it for the last 4 years.

witch blemish stick! about £3 from boots & works wonders

Its distressing! I was that pre teen. Medication helped and also using baby oil to wipe make up off rather than constant face washing.

I took DD1 to the GP. She has a topical lotion that she applies every evening. It's really made a huge difference.

She also uses witch hazel and various facial masks and scrubs, but TBH, I don't think they make a lot of difference.

My daughter is 15 and notices that drinking a lot of water males a massive difference to her skin - drink a glass each hour. Use face wash followed by toner to cleanse. Aknedoron purifying lotion is a bitpricy but good for healing. She uses a face mask once a week. Go to the doctors(even if its not that bad) and he can prescribe antibiotics or face creams which make a huge difference. Try and cut out fatty foods as these are noticeable in causing my daughters breakouts especially chips and chocolate

Managed to pick up some witch hazel stick in boots today.
Has anyone any experience with the clearasil daily washes they had a stand with offers on. When I was a teen years ago I know it was known as being quite harsh so wondered if it's changed in the years.
