Menstrual cups for young teens?

Dd1 is 13 and has been having periods for 12mths. She has been using pads and occasionally tampons.

This week she has been taking part in watersports daily and was worried about using tampons and leaking - she started her period on Monday.

I used to use a Mooncup and have had a Mirena fitted since dc4 was born 5 years ago so it's a while since I had periods. But I seem to remember it was a revelation however it seems massive for dd to use one (admittedly I have the bigger size).

So finally my question, does anyone's young daughter use a menstrual cup rather than tampons and which one would you recommend please.

Thank you

Not a young teen but I started with a small moon up when I was late teens. Very easy to use, trim the stem so it's comfy, never looked back.
