I have 2 boys aged 11 and 14. We are on our own after I split with my ex (not their dad) 6 months ago. They see their dad regularly and he is a good role model. Infact the boys have great grandfathers and uncles too.
They have both begun swearing during angry outbursts and bickering/arguing between each other! I'm not a big swearer - and I certainly don't swear at them!
I've spoken to them both about it, how disrespectuful it is, how upsetting it is to hear them. I remove xbox, TV etc as a punishment but then it just happens the next time!
They have a love-hate relationship and I struggle with them sometimes. They both do ok at school and have friends and interests.
Their dad is very supportive and they bicker when they are with him (although they don't swear)
I'm at a loss!
