hi very new poster here so please go easy on me.
basically my 14 year old dd has struggled with ocd in the past but has really gotten better recently. My only worry is is that she finds it easier to bathe every other day as she has the compulsion to stay in the bath and scrub and scrub herself when ever she is in the bath which can be very distressing for both her and me.
She is not a smelly teenager at all and uses deodorant etc etc
very tidy clean clothes every day and i never notice her being smelly
only just started puberty so not to much sweat and she hasn't gotten her period yet, although she has started to shave under her arms and is definitely developing
what are your thoughts??

Her over bathing is nothing to do with being clean it's her OCD.
If she spends too long in the bath and it is an issue seek psychological help for her before it gets out of hand.

Every other day for baths is absolutely fine. Your poor daughter feeling she has to scrub herself Sad

Every other day is absolutely fine. Is she still getting help for the OCD?

thanks for all the lovely replies guys.
It was her birthday today and she had a really great day.Birthdays normally tricky as she obsesses about everything being perfect but today was great.
She went to a couple of sessions of cahms but really hated it and to be honest it didn't really help but me and her talk alot about the ocd and she has really been getting on top of it.
feel we are on the way to being fine again it was just a little glitch.
thanks again
