We are invited out and will be overnite stay and my son, who will be 16 in sept, is wanting to stay overnite at home. This would be a first as my eldest daughter usually stays with him. He is sensible boy an doesn't look to party or anything like that YET! He just lives for his computer gaming with friends on line. Unsure what to do ??

if you are sure that you can trust him and he knows what to do in an emergency then I'd leave him. Give him a call at some point during the evening though if he is like my sons he will be sitting with head phones on and none the wiser :)

If you have a neighbour you can trust to keep an eye on the front door for hoards of visitors that would be good too!

I agree, at 16 he can stay alone.
