My daughter has been struggling with depression i think for afew years due to my husband and myself having some breakups, although we are back together now. i got worse when my mother passed away from cancer last year. She was very close to her. she wont go to school now, keeps to herself and doesn't like to do anything with us or anyone. she wont talk to us and i don't now what to do

Take her to your GP, it sounds like she, and you, need help. The GP can then discuss with you referral for support - perhaps to CAMHS or young peoples counselling services.
Re the school attendance, see if you can get an understanding of what's beneath this - she might be anxious about going to school or there may be issues with other pupils. If you find out what the issues are then you can go about speaking with school and asking what they can do to help. Good luck.
