Overdose

My 14 year old daughter took an overdose on Monday and is very lucky to be alive and no lasting affects other than mentally......

I don't know how to act around her?
Also how to deal with what I witnessed

If it was paracetamol has she been medically checked out?

It wasn't paracetamol, and yes she was admitted into hospital after havering several fits as a side effect from the type of tablets and assessed by camhs

Yes discharged with a follow up. She is acting like nothing has happened which I find frustrating as hell... She wants her friends around etc back to school.

One minute I will to kill her the next I am hugging and crying. The only thing I know is right at the moment is putting one foot in front of another

She is saying that she hates herself and the person she has become.

I did the same thing op at the same age. I was bolshy, stroppy and utterly terrified.

She WILL come though this.

In a horrid way this will benefit her as she will see CAMHS sooner than she would before. Have you got any suggested diagnosis yet? Were you aware of any of this before?

I know she has been down etc but not to this extent
