I have discovered that my son has been looking at porn on the internet.

I am not very computer savvy. Can I have advice please on how other parents have handled this type of situation.

Are there ways I can restrict what he looks at online?

We had the same thing with ds (12).
We spoke about the porn industry and exploitation ect.
He is now only online in family areas of the house.
He has a tablet with fb ap and YouTube he can go on in his room.
He was/is mortified that his parents watched what he watched!

Internet access in public places is a very good way to go in my experience.

It's normal. He wants to see what girls/women look like and sex is interesting.

You can block sites at home (Net Nanny) and school will have their own security/blocking. But you also need to explain to him what porn IS - that it isnt 'sex' and it certainly isnt love. Boys can be very dim about this.

Lots of ways to restrict.
Google
K9
&
opendns
Also contact your ISP for any further filtering they may provide.

What device has he used? DSi? Phone? iPod?

I need help with this, too! I know how to restrict use on the computer but is there a way to lock him out on his iPod Touch?

Thanks
