What's the best sort of food to keep in the fridge for teenage raiders?

I mean there's cheese, and there's ham. But how can I feed lots of greedy teenagers and pre-teens who are constantly helping themselves to snacks, cheaply and nutritiously. Friends included?

This may sound like a very obvious question to the initiated, but I'm used to just providing meals rather than endless snacks and the fruit bowl is always empty in seconds..

My mum used to make a big bowl of pasta salad specifically for my 2 brother's constant munchies! It's cheap, filling and healthy. Can't go wrong really.

It's a good idea, slippy and tiny... I might try it... :)

Nutella/jam for toast/sandwiches

Ham/cheese/bacon/sausages/avocado for sandwich/pasta/rice/wrap/nachoes

Pizza
Pita bread for pockets with tuna/sweet corn/peppers/tomatoes
Fruit/salad/chopped veg if I have any available.
Scrambled eggs fussy buggers won't eat boiled eggs
