What is the best shampoo for greasy teenage hair?

Wasn't sure where to post this but, my 13 year old dd is developing really greasy hair. I bought her some shampoo for greasy hair and told her not to put conditioner on the roots just from about half way down but it still looks greasy. Even when she has just washed it you can almost see the grease building up again. I would be grateful for any suggestions/recommendations as she is getting very embarrassed about it.

My greasy boys also use the apple shampoo from Sainsbury's, they still have to wash it every day though. Now 50, I can get away with every 2nd day but I've had to wash it daily for most of my life since a teenager.

Have her try a rinse of water and baking soda before she washes her hair with shampoo. It really helps to clear the oil build-up.

Hello,

Our child, 21 months old, has lovely thick curly hair. My wife is looking at hair products to enhance the hair. I'm very cautious about using any products in a child's hair because of chemicals etc etc. Am I being paranoid or are their safe product ranges to use for very young children.

Thanks

DH still has greasy hair, not helped by being poker straight. It actually looks less greasy if he does condition it, as it's softer and moves better.

DS2 has greasy hair and the shampoo that works best on him is Head and Shoulders Two in One Apple. It smells fresh and his hair doesn't look lank after using it.

Have you noticed how few greasy hair shampoos there are nowadays? When I was a teen, you had dry, normal,or greasy hair, and dandruff shampoos. Now, shampoos are for coloured hair, adding shine, volume, for brunette, blond or curly hair. Very few companies seem to,cater for greasy hair.

I also have a teen who, suffer from greasy hair. Not sure he'd appreciate a pink bottle, though!

My dd is 11 and has terrible greasy hair. We have tried the few that we have found and nothing is helping.

Have you tried the clear Herbal Essences ones? The Detox Clean one seems to be quite good.
