VIAGRA!!! ....and weed!!!

What do you do???
17 yr old son...found blue tablets in drawer...asked what they were...viagra???? bought off internet....for a laugh??? as did friends!! OMG! I was shocked...he has gf...he also has a 'bong' in his room....does weed....really gets defensive if I mention it etc...says he is not addicted and does it to 'chill'. Just started 6th form...a bit precarious..as he has gone to college where none of his friends are...now wishes he had stayed in previous School....(not a good idea,,as was in trouble a lot)...starts counselling soon...I just dont know how to get through this. I am a single parent and he does not have a good relationship with his Dad! I work full time....its just a nightmare....

I would be more bothered by the weed than the Viagra tbh. It sounds plausible that the Viagra was just for a laugh.
How did you get to a situation where he is allowed to smoke weed in the house?

If he is "not addicted" then he can get rid of the bong, and agree to not smoking in the house. I think thats what I would be saying. Of course he is defensive about it, he doesn't want you to make a fuss about it. But I hope you do, because it is bad for his mental health. You can't stop him doing it elsewhere, but at least not in your house. Good that he is getting some counselling. Can his Dad try and rebuild their relationship to help you out? Or is that a non starter.

tell him that the house is no-smoking, because teens are often not smart enough to put fires out and stoners definitely aren't.

BTW why is he buying Viagra on the internet? You can get it at Wilkinson's now, it is off patent. (It is amazing what you learn from doing online surveys...)

As teenagers alot of my friends went through phases if this. Dont allow him to smoke. He will still go and do it with his friends, but make sure he knows that you are not supporting it.
Viagra as he said at that age is usually just trying it out for a laugh.
In college we had 3 very red faced classmated sit with books in their laps for hours as they had dexided to take some for a laugh in the early hours.
It soon taught them not to mess with it again.

When I was 15 a bunch of lads i knew all took Viagra just to see what happened. I really do think that's all the Viagra was, OP.

Take away the bong and be clear that he is not smoking in your house
