Is it the done thing for a boy to give his date a corsage?
TIA (but I need to know today)!

My DS had a prom when he left middle school he shared a car with a girl and I bought her a corsage she loved it

Yes, it is the done thing.

They are about £20 from a florist as far as I know.

sonlypuppyfat · 25/06/2013 13:25

Oh and the one I got was fresh flowers on a stretchy pearl braclet which she could keep

mumblechum1 · 25/06/2013 13:36

Thanks!

Yes it is. It should match or complement the colour of her dress. He may or may not have been privileged to see the dress but she will at least tell him the colour for this purpose Smile. Last year DS paid £10 for one from a flower stall.

I'm in the wrong business....

Not done here. I thought it was a US thing.

He's ordered a white orchid for her. (it's tonight, he ordered it 2 hours ago Hmm

He didn't actually invite her, someone at a party was with the two of them and sort of told him to take her and she was keen, so he's kind of been blindsided Grin. They're not even going in the car together so God knows when he's supposed to give it to her.

Hope she's not the only one with a corsage!

They never go in the car together Confused.
Mostly the boys go in groups and so do the girls. Then they pair up to walk along the red carpet together for the photographer. That's it then, unless they are actually a couple.

Ah, right. thanks ss!

Not the done thing here either. I've seen a LOT of prom photos over the last 3 or 4 years and never seen anyone with a corsage.
