Teen smoking

My ds 16 has recently got in with a dodgy group of boys. Amongst other things he's started smoking (poss dope). His dad (my ex) is ok with this ad smokes himself. Our house is non smoking, and I'm having a hard time dealing with my ds smoking, the smell etc what it's doing to his health, as a child he had asthma/eczema and recently every time he gets a cold his chest is bad. My ex and his mother are buying ds ciggies and tobacco, my ex even told him it was "healthier" to smoke roll ups! Ds has said he wants to stop but feels he can't , so I've booked him into a cessation course. I'm furious that ex is undermining ds health is this unreasonable?

YANBU but sadly you're not being supported. I hope the course works for him, but he does need to want to give up. Mine, 17 smokes too, he is always skint, I told him this, amongst other things when he started, but he's still doing it. I feel your pain. :(

wow, let's hope he grows up smarter than his dad.

tell him no smoking anything in the house due to stink and fire risk. Beyond that, he'll just have to work out cause and effect for himself.
