..you might like to know that Primark now do their trousers and jeans in a 26 waist, 34 leg.

I bought various pairs for both DC today. It's rare that I find anything long enough that also fits at the waist.

Well that's no good to me now ds1 is 17 and has filled out and now takes a 28 inch waist

I have one of those. He was 6' tall at 13. He's now 17 and seems to have passed the eating for England stage, consequently he's getting skinnier. He's 6'2" and 10.5 stone.
When the sun came out last week he raked some shorts out. They fell down when fully fastened up.

Ds1 has his own sense of style, which puts him more in proportion. He always wear high tops and low slung trousers, with a belt, so lots of horizontal lines. And quite often a striped t-shirt.

If he didn't wear a belt he would be indecent

He went through 4 years of not wearing shorts, but has now got over that
