just a quick post to say that parenting my youngest teens is totally shit.

teen son just told me to shut up. for the first time ever. nearly hit the roof, but am trying to be calm.

i feel the same. DD was so rude to me last night, hates me apparently.

its the total non stop frustrating dance around a stupid hormone ridden baby brain.
both of them are pushing me to the limit, showing new depths of really out of order behaviour.

Hitting the roof rarely works well in my experience. I now use a weary stare that implies DS is being ridiculous, as well as out of order, if he says anything disrespectful. We both stay calmer that way and the situation doesn't escalate. It worked for me.
