13 year-old can't stop picking her spots

Hi - My DD scratches/picks at spots on her forehead (and then they bleed as a result). I don't know whether she is aware she's doing it (she says they itch), but I'm concerned about scarring. Our GP noticed DD's forehead (when DD had a routine appointment) and suggested that we make an appt if it starts to become a problem. Having waited to see if DD could leave it alone, I'm planning to make a GP appt ASAP but in the meantime, does anyone have any advice? (I'm trying not to make a huge issue out of it, but it is painful to see and it's becoming difficult to deal with).

Don't we all pick at spots?

Def do GP, she could have an infection and a course if antibiotics might clear it right up. Poor girl
