Apprenticeships And Entitlements

Hi. My 17 year old dd is due to start an apprenticeship in September. Does anybody know if Child allowance and Child Tax Credit is still an entitlement? Any advise I would be grateful for.

Not sure-about tax credits but when my daughter did this family allowance stopped.

Usually CB and CTC will stop when a young person starts an apprenticeship. But there are two types of apprenticeship - unpaid college based ones and paid work based ones. If your DD is doing an unpaid college based one, you can still get CB/CTC, but not otherwise.
