Hi my DD2 has the usual t-zone spots dry/greasy skin. She's coming up to 16 soon and does her best to look after her skin but recently she has been suffering from extremely dry scalely patches around the creases of her nose and just under her bottom lip. It's so bad that it looks like its about to crack sometimes, we tried so many lotions/positions and washes and so far nothing has worked. She is starting to stress about it now so any advice or ideas would be very welcome. :)

DD2 is the same she is 14 try a gentle wash for your dd and no teatree as it dries out the skin i know it is supposed to be healing etc but it really hurt DD face. try a little bio oil on her her It seems to help ad get her to use a primer before she puts foundation on, DD got a cheap one and it doesn't irritate her

The Boots natural range of foundations are cheap and smallish quantities. The same rules apply to make up - wash hands before applying and don't put fingers that have been on your face back into the pot or on the tube.

Dd has bad eczema round her lips and chin. She carries a small tin of vaseline with aloe vera and puts that on frequently. It has really helped.

My skin is the same. I'm currently trying e45 itchy skin cream, but it's not making much difference.

It's a good discipline. Also makes it harder to go back out again of an evening so might keep her at her books ;) !

Just an update on dd skin.. We tried the vit e capsules and broke them open then applied directly on her dry crusty patches around her nose and mouth .. Hey presto it's almost all gone after just a week!! She and I are very chuffed, obviously her more so.. So thank you all so much for all your fab ideas and support :)

I have eczema which is just as bad andIi use Aveeno cream which is made of oats... it's AMAZING!! Give it a try, it's definitely worth it.
