DD2 came home distraught.. she had worked her ass off and yet it was a disaster.. she said the questions were totally bizarre:(

God I HATE exams. She doesn't think she will get the grade for her firm choice now:(

I'm sorry and send hugs to you both .

I loathe this time of year ,I have to restrain myself from offering sympathy to random school kids whose path I cross as I go into the library .

Isn't it the case that the exam board change the grade boundaries if the exam is particularly hard ?
It might not be such a disaster ?

There's usually stuff on TSR www.thestudentroom.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=370
about the days exams ,if that's any help ?

Dd said that her friends who sat Biology today found it awful..topics asked that weren't covered etc. Dd has Physics next week so fingers crossed it's better.

Oh and yes, they said that the questions were really odd and having provided some examples to the teacher, he agreed :(

I guess we have to hope that the grade boundaries go down accordingly:(

If she hadn't worked I wouldn't feel so sorry for her.. but she has worked really hard and it just feels so unfair:(
