School shoes

Just wondering, if your dc go to a school that has a pretty strict uniform code, where your older teens get their shoes from? Dd is 15 and has to have black "leather" ie no canvas or trainers.
Any help?Smile

I have just bought my dd a pair of black brogues from Shoe Zone. She wears her shoes out very quickly so I now buy cheap ones and just replace when the holes appear.

DD has quite a good pair from Clarks with laces. I'll see if I can find them.

Dd 15 has some ladies lace ups from Clarks..probably the same onesFimbo's dd has .
About £50. Well worth it as they are substantial, comfy and trendy.

Yes sounds the same Mrsrobertduvall. My dd got them for starting back to school in September and still going strong. They seem to bring them out for teens around about then (although I realise Posey's dd needs them now), dd had the slip on ones they did the year before too.

They are not unlike this if you take the broguey looking bits away - \link{http://www.clarks.co.uk/p/20350534\here}.

Thank you for your suggestions. It seems there aren't loads around at the mo, not really school shoe buying season! I may just get something cheaper now and get her better ones for September.

My DDs all have to have black 'polishable' ha yeah right, pigs will fly before they polish them shoes with a fastening. I am personally overjoyed at the relatively recent rule that they can't wear stupid ballet pumps and have to have laces/straps of some kind!

DD1 has brogues from Topshop, very similar to the Clarks ones that Fimbo linked to. We got them in September though, and they've gone from online.

DD2 has ballet pump type shoes with a buckle strap from ASOS, purchased around Christmas time.

DD3 has just got new ones, again ballet pump typed shoes with a strap. We got those at Clarks: www.clarks.co.uk/p/20349470

Clarks seems to be a good bet if desperate, but maybe a bit young? DD3 is happy with them (Year 7) but DD1 and 2 (Years 9 and 11) are less keen.
