Armpit Hair? I feel daft writing this!

My Ds (15) has just asked me why he has armpit hair on one side but not the other? He has show me and it is only one side

I have told him I have no idea as so I would ask here.
he thinks only one half of his body has started puberty

Anyone know what could cause this?

My brother's armpit hair started growing on one side, much to his distress. I found it very amusing. He didn't do anything about it and eventually the other side started growing and it evened out.

My DP only has armpit hair under his left arm and chest hair round his right nipple.

I honestly didnt know this could happen, I instinctivly asked him if he had been playing with my razor! By his face I knew he hadnt.
