Hiya all, I was just looking for some help or advice on this.
My 13 year old daughter goes to bed at 8:30 on week days because she just wont wake up in the mornings. We said if she got up on time she could move on to 9:30 and she kept it up for a week and then stopped so she's back to 8:30. I even have to wake her up an extra 15 minutes early now to try and get her to leave on time even if she wakes up late. I wake her up at 7:15 for her to leave for school at 8:10. I constantly have to call up to her to get a move on and run up and down the stairs to tell her. A lot of the time I go up at 7:45 and she's still not dressed, she makes up all the excuses then of I couldn't find this or that (her uniforms laid out on her tv at the bottom of her bed in full view) When she finally gets downstairs I have to constantly say about brushing her teeth and her hair, she'll just sit there and we have to tell her over and over, a lot of the time we end up shouting because she won't move and then all hell breaks loose.
I've told her she shouldn't be like this, she has no reason to be tired at all, she comes home from school and either watches tv, goes on her laptop or reads, so it's not like she's tiring herself out by doing anything.
She had her options next year in which she's chosen land managemnt aswell and that's going to be really tiring and I'm dreading trying to wake her up in the mornings then, sorry this has gotten so long.
Any help or advice on how to try and get her to have more oomph in the mornings would be much appreciated.
