Part time work at Pizza Hut?

My 16 year old DD is applying for some waitressing work at Pizza Hut. Not sure yet what the hourly rate is but wondered if anyone could share their teens experiences with regards to tips?

We are not sure whether they get to keep their tips or whether they need to share them with other staff (she will ask if she gets the interview and would imagine that sharing with kitchen staff etc is the fairer way to do it).

Roughly how much could a teen expect to pick up in tip?

Many thanks

Good luck. When my DS applied to Pizza Hut he was one of many and didn't get the job. It isn't going to be easy. Do you know how many have applied?

each pizza hut has thier own policy, i worked in 3, the first one, 10% was given to the host(the person showing people to their tables) 10% to kitchen and 10% to those cleaning tables, so you werre left with 70%. the next hut i worked it, we kept everything, then the last one waqs 10% to the host.

tips are normally good. but some days you can make a lot and other day almost nothing.

a normal shift i would make 15 pounds, however other days could be 5 or 40, depends on your customers.

hope that helps :)
