I want to put my dd on my insurance and she is 18. Phoned more than and it was another £400 which i think is very good. The excess is £500 if she has an accident.

TBH my dh will sit in the car with her as I am so nervous but I suppose I may go in an empty car park with her.

I wonder what will happen if she passes. will it go up astronomically and do you just add the difference onto your premium.

anyone had any good quotes or insurance agents who are good. One quoted £3000???

The cheapest I was quoted for ds was £1700, rising to £3,300 when he passes. You've done fantastically well to get £400, but maybe it's because she's a girl, and/or you have a small engined car? Who did you get the quote from if you don't mind my asking.

To answer your question about what happens when she passes, I guess the insurance company will have to re-run the info through the system on the presumption that she's passed, and they'll tell you how much it goes up by.

It was more than. The £400 was on top of my quote if that makes sense. I can't see me getting it any cheaper . All in all it was about £650. Just don't know what would happen if she passes but at least then she will have a chance to practice.
