Have I done the right thing?

My DS is 16 and at sixth form, he met a girl there who is 17 also doing A levels and have been seeing each other for a couple of months. Today he called to ask if she could come over-I am at work and there is noone there! I said to make sure she tells her parents but yes she could come over. My theory being she could have already been there all day without me knowing and I wouldn't have been none the wiser plus at least he asked. As far as I know the relationship hasn't progressed sexually and we have had the 'chat' but he assures me nothing is going to happen ConfusedWhat would you have done?

Yes of course it's fine!

I would have said yes its fine for her to come over

Thank you. I think her parents are quite strict so am not sure if they are ok about it and I think that is what is making me doubt myself. I have not met her yet but will do today although I have been vague about what time I am coming back Smile

He has just called me to say that he has hoovered the lounge and put his dirty washing in the machine-hahahaha So there are benefits to this as well - result! Grin

Even if her parents are strict they are over the age of consent so it's not really got anything to do with them if they are swinging from the chandeliers Xmas Wink

Good result there Grin

I might even get his absolute pigsty of a bedroom cleaned up if he wants to go there with her - it would be a telling sign if I could suddenly see the floorGrin
Thanks everyone

Yes you definitely did the right thing - at least you know where he is!
