14 year old son won't eat!

I have a 14 year old son who weighs only 36kg (less than 6 stone) He is extremely fissy about what he will eat and eats really slowly when he does eat. This has gone on for several years but is gradually becoming worse. He has slight lactose intolerance which wasn't diagnosed ubtil he was 10. I think because of this he may have started to associate eating with feeling uncomfortable when he was younger and this behaviour has now become ingrained. We have been to a dietician who concluded that he was not eating enough calories. I am finding it impossible to increase his calorie intake as he will only eat certain foods that are cooked in a certain way. Have tried protein/ high calorie drinks and discussing his responsibility in this. I don't want to make an issue of it but it really upsets me because I am worried about his health.
Anyone been through anything similar!

I would get him checked out with the GP.

Yes I have with 2 of my DDS. I would suggest taking to GP and get his weight noted. At least you have an objective base point to see whether he is gaining or losing. Check out how much exercise he is doing too. No harm in taking a step to get him checked and it's not a thing that's worth leaving too long. Hope all ok.
