My 15yr old son has been missing alot of school, refuses to get up has lost 80% of his friends and is becoming aggressive and confrontational. How do we help him. He 'blames' us but nothing has changed at home. Causing so much stress at home, my husband and I are not able to go to work. We have suggested he leaves that school there must be some other way he can finish his GCSE's but he gets cross when we suggest that also.

One of my Dss missed quite a lot of school at this age - various reasons including regular really bad headaches (could there be some physical at the bottom of your DS's change in behaviour inc allergies??). Eventually he got some pretty good A levels and is happy at Uni, doing well.

DS will no doubt blame you - but I guess deep down he knows that you are the same loving parents and he transferring something.

Sazzt suggests someone at school - good idea or could they signpost you to another service? Good luck -
