DD has just passed her driving test, it wasn't her first attempt and she was getting a bit disheartened...wohooo

and on top of that a couple of weeks ago she passed an assessment to join an apprenticeship instructors course to train to be an activity instructor.
She'll be leaving home to start her job / apprenticeship in January

Am rather proud of her!

That's brilliant. And reminds me I need to learn to drive!

Well done to young FruitShoots

Xmas Grin you can kiss goodbye to your car then

FruitShootsSantaandLeaves · 06/12/2011 17:35

Xmas Grin Luckily for me it will be DH kissing goodbye to his car.
My car is in ridiculous band 39 so would cost about £314987956949369176017 to insure for her!

fruitshoots thats amazing well done her My dd passed in october her 2nd attempt and whoo on her job you have every right to be proud of her ,

dd is getting a car for xmas not as glam as it sounds Its 1.1 fiesta but the insurance is a bit EEK

FruitShootsSantaandLeaves · 08/12/2011 11:26

We're looking at cars too but we will need to pay the tax and insurance for her as when she's in her apprenticeship she wouldn't have enough money to pay it.
Have looked at Fiesta's. Citroen Saxo's seem quite cheap too!
She can't drive anything yet as neither of our cars are insured for her now she's passed!
