14 year old and pe

my 14 year old refuses to do pe and is getting very anqious when told to do it the teachers are refusing to not let her out of it she says she will run out of school which then will go down as truancy i have tried everything and spoke to numerous people any help gratefully received im near breaking point

I'm not an expert but I remember how I felt at 14. I don't think you should make her do it. Do you know if there's a reason why she doesn't want to?

I used to hate having to get undressed in front of everyone else, let alone having to take a communal shower!

Is she shy could this be the reason why?
Have you spoken to school at all, is she getting on ok in other lessons?

My son is in middleschool yr 8, been there to day, to talk to Head Year,
she told me if he went missing/ran off they would call the police and report him missing, she also said that then Social Services etc would become involved?
