Barber disaster - any ideas to help!

DS(14) has just been to the barbers to have his hair cut for going back to school and they have cut off his beloved long floppy fringe! It was supposed to be a tidy up and just shorten the fringe a bit but that seems to have got lost along the way.

He looks a bit like this now but a bit longer all over

(I won't tell him he has the same hair as justin bieber or he will be even more distraught).

Any suggestions for hair products or whatever that he can use till he manages to regrow at least some of his fringe? I thought if he could do that thing when it all goes in different directions he might be happier (I hope someone knows what I'm talking about!)

He's sulking in his room at the moment as apparently your mum saying "it looks fine" doesn't mean anything.

JB looks much better with that haircut that when he has a floppy fringe/helmet hair. MUCH better.

(Some kind of styling wax ought to do it :) )

DH says he uses Fudge stuff bought from a hairdressers (he gets hair cut at barbers but buys product from trendier place). Might be a bit pricier that getting something from Boots but you could go in hairdressers and ask?

I'll suggest styling wax or Fudge (I think I have heard of that) if he ever comes out of his bedroom. At least school doesn't start till next tuesday so he might have got used to it by then. Everyone is going to laugh apparently

If it's the same as JB's then it'll be wildly fashionable (nearly said trendy then, betraying how trendy I'm not) by about Thursday. He'll just be ahead of the game!

My 2 dds said - if he looks like that, what's his problem! Wow - fitty.

They are 16 and 19 by the way
