Hello

Can anyone recommend any good reads (practical) on teenagers, plus from a step-parent POV.

I have a DSC (15) and have a bunch of questions, some topics are covered on here eg Pocket Money etc, but Im also curious about phone usage (pm v payg), continuing education, getting a saturday job (if there are any out there!), drink etc.

Many Thanks

Have you had a look on Amazon for books?

You could try: How to Talk So Teens Will Listen and Listen So Teens Will Talk by Adele Faber - I borrowed mine from the library. It's not got all the answers but some good pointers. Good luck

Most teenage books are about resolving conflict, setting boundaries, encouraging good behaviour etc. Most of the stuff you mention I think you will ahve to figure how where you stand for yourself or by talking to other parents of teens (eg on here!)

But I have 'Get Out of My Life- But First Take me And Alex Into Town' and its a corker
