We have an MPV at the moment (7 seater with 3 seats removed giving a 2-1-2 formation) but want to scale down.

Are there any 2 row cars which fit 3 teenagers in comfortably without having to have a squashed piggy in the middle?

We have a Citroen Picasso C4.
It has three full adult seats in the back with over the shoulder seat belts.
It's an excellent car with plenty of room all around.

I would say that there is no magic car that would stop 3 teens complaining :)

The Ford S-Max would be OK as it has three separate seats in the middle row (it does have 2 pop up ones in the boot too). I wonder if the C-Max setting is similar but without the back row.

Oh, good, now there are sensible replies I can add my first thought - a stretch limo. Grin

Sorry, not helpful on the school run.

The Citroen C4 Grand also has an extra row of seats in the back.

Fiat Multipla - 3 seats in the front and 3 in the back, all the same size, and any combination of the back ones can be taken out. We love ours, except that the build quality is not the greatest. Can't say it stops the teenagers complaining, but they don't complain about the car seats as such. much.

We just downshifted from a ford Galaxy to a Toyota Verso. So far very happy. I though the smaller size would be an issue, but it doesn't feel smaller.

Renault Scenic has three separate adult seats.

We have a Honda CRV and whilst we don't have 3 teenagers we do have 2 car seats and a teenage DSS who sits in the middle of the back row.

DSS is happy in the middle as he has a proper seat, seatbelt and as there is a table/ledge in between the two front seats he has plenty of leg room as he can stretch his legs out under the table. Hope that makes sense!

We have a Vauxhall Insignia and three teens fit comfortably in there. It's a comfortable car in general as well.

We have a Toyota Lucida (Japanese import) with 3 rows and to be honest I cannot see us going back to a 2 row car until at least one 'child' never needs to be carted around! Dsd is 16, ds is 11 and dd is 17 months and trying to get ds and dsd to sit anywhere near each other is impossible!!

Thanks for all these, I will be spending the weekend in the showrooms
