Dd1 is 11 & hitting it. Last summer she loved sweeping up. On Sunday she spent an hour on a 10 min job cos she was so half arsed. I wouldn't let her give up before she did it properly but she is like this with everything atm and I'm running out of patience.

Any top tips?

Brace yourself! Only nag if the job is important. If it takes her hours then thats her look out. Frustrating though.

So make her do it but ignore ?

Don't nag but jusrt ask her to do it and then don't try and tell her how to do it properly unlesss she asks. It may not be done to your standard but you have to let her get on with it however long she is taking. I discovered that was the best way with my 3. They used to get verty erustrated if I told them they weren't doing something properly,
