Depression in teenagers

Hi, My dd(16.2)has just been diagnosed with depression and referred to CAMHS. Feeling in a state of shock. Any one been through this process?

Mrs Bodger - that replicates my experience almost exactly! I wish they had suggested ADs years ago, as my DD has been trying to cope with her anxiety and depression herself, with somewhat disastrous results. We never did get my DD back to school, which I think would have made a huge difference - I do hope things go well for you both.
