Bus and train tickets for £1

Does anyone know anything about this - son of a friend said he has been told that as from tomorrow students will be able to buy bus and train tickets for £1 - something to do with money being diverted from EMA funds? Sounds great if it's correct! My own son at 6th form does not know anything as usual Hmm

yes, friend's son said students had been emailed about it from their college. I am trying to get him to forward me the email.

I am still waiting to see the info that was sent out in the email ... wondering if its a local arrangement as there would have been publicity otherwise ... we are in Gloucs by the way
