I have read through most of the threads on here regarding teens behaviour
as I`m going through the same myself

Not had the violent tendacies yet ,it`s mainly stomping , dis-regarding advice, not looking after herself (personal hygiene), lazyness, staying out over agreed time

And I did get stressed with a visit to the GP,given pills for HBP,however I now look at how do I resolve it,because if I can resolve issues in a calm /intelligent way with DD then hopefully DD sees this and will become more grounded, its not easy especially with the problems she has had/and is currently facing , even today its a standoff over school work , she is currently not at school, withdrawn due to bullying (being resolved end of Jan new school)and Im constantly stressing she needs to catch up not helpful when her mother is more interested in her boyfriend and is a pothead with no ambitions, theres a lot more but Im never going to give up on DD

and oh have been introduced to all the handwringing organisations out there, and thats what most of them are handwringers,I ve seen/read better advice from these boards, because theyre involved n everyday situations trying to cope, asking advice, coming up with solutions.

Get her a tutor. It's way less stressful than trying to work with them yourself

It will help her catch up, feel good about herself, and give her someone else to work with (get someone she can get on with).

Hullygully, yeah that is something Im thinking of , she did meet her prospective headteacher at her new school back in Dec who reccomended certain materials which I purchased , but which have hardly been touched whilst at her mums house (I work fulltime)
so it s something I am exploring asap
