Teenage boy hormones - risks?

neenawwoowoo · 14/09/2010 13:19

So if a teenage boy is having a rampant hormonal phase and is searching for porn on the internet, what are the risks, if any, that they would want to, or even be betted into (by mates), "outlet" this build-up on defenceless individuals? Anyone with any thoughts/experiences?

Hmm
mumblechum · 14/09/2010 14:00

Me no comprendez

nickschick · 14/09/2010 14:00

Im not really sure I understand what your asking but I think generally they then spend their pocket money on a webcam and play silly games with friends and others generally involving bra straps etc etc because whilst teenage boys are full of hormones in reality they can be a tad shy.

Porn and boys are pretty much part of growing up.

Hullygully · 14/09/2010 14:06

Do you mean they are going to wank over people in the street?

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 14/09/2010 14:11

Are you suggesting that teenage boys dare each other to rape? Hmm

nickschick · 14/09/2010 14:26

im hoping those last 2 comments werent aimed at my rather glib reply???

Hullygully · 14/09/2010 14:28

When I had a rampant hormonal phase I outletted myself on the neighbour's cat. Does that count?

nickschick · 14/09/2010 16:14

Your neighbours pussy???

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 14/09/2010 17:05

Sorry, nickschick, my previous was also to the OP. Shock at neighbour's pussy!

neenawwoowoo · 14/09/2010 17:08

Sorry to be so vague. Not really sure what I'm asking either! Confused

I just remember how horrible kids were at that age when I was young (all them years ago) but as a female teenager I never really dwelled too much on the goings on inside the male mind.

Now I have a young son of my own (just starting primary school), and a daughter who will eventually be "courting" teenage boys, I'm worrying just curious about how far things could go in order to get their release. Rape, child abuse...

God, the question sounds awful, I know, but it is a genuine, possibly rather ignorant, question, not an opinion. And I know there is a massive spectrum when it comes to people in general. What one person does, does not mean everyone does it. But I find nickschick's reply quite reassuring, in that teenage boys tend to be shy when it comes to these things, and not animals overt! Apologies again - I don't mind if I'm lynched for asking this question.

I think you have to assume initially that people's intentions are good unless you have reason to think otherwise.

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 14/09/2010 17:20

Hormonal teenage boys are generally too busy wanking to be out raping anyone, tbh, (I am mother of two adult DS) and they're no more likely to be abusing children than you or I.

Which isn't to say that consensual sexual activity with a girl the same age (or thereabouts) won't be happening.

2shoes · 14/09/2010 17:24

sorry I don't get the question....

nah still don't(and yes I have a 18 yr old ds)

TheHoodedClaw · 14/09/2010 17:26

You sound like you've Got Issues.

Goblinchild · 14/09/2010 17:31

Yet another parent of young children demonising teenagers?
No, teen boys are on the whole, not filled with an uncontrollable desire to attack and rape defenceless individuals. Any more than your darling daughter will turn into a teenage slut tease.
What a seriously disconcerting question to ask, and what a twisted and vile view of teenage males you seem to have.

2shoes · 14/09/2010 17:31

so does the op think all boys want to rape women or something........

I am trying to make sense of this

scurryfunge · 14/09/2010 17:32

OP can you explain what you really mean....I don't think you are coming across very well.

EricNorthmansmistress · 14/09/2010 17:33

Do you have any reason to believe that your children and their friends are potential rapists or paedophiles? I can assure you that watching porn does not make a child turn into a rapist or paedophile. It isn't, however, a very healthy or normal introduction to sex, and I would prevent it if possible. The urge to look at tits and fannies has been ever thus in teenage boys - the internet just makes it easier.

weegiemum · 14/09/2010 17:34

Interestingly complicated post for someone so new ..... other posts all about affairs.

I'm off.

2shoes · 14/09/2010 17:35

sorry I had to send a link to this thread to the queen of teens.
