Curfew times reasonable

Hi all....

New to the site nice to meet ya all in time..
Have a survey question if possible, plz could ayone and everyone gimme a rough curfew time for a 17yr boy, recently in trouble with police for anti social behaviour..(very new and recent troubles) would really appreciate other opinion if possible thanks in advance all xx

IN all honesty, if he has been in trouble with the police for anti social behaviour he would be grounded! Probably harder than it sounds though I am sure.
Is he still at school/college?

My 17 nearly 18 year old doesn't really have a curfew ..as long as he tells us roughly what time he will be home ..and if hes staying over at someones

He goes to college, agreed to do a second year, usually a good lad, altho easily lead astray....
working part time to earn his own pocket money etc etc..
just dont want him wandering the streets late at night, am i wrong?? if he was going somewhere or staying at a mates then fair enough.. but i wanna be able to go to bed at a reasonable time, and not have to worry!! am i wrong?? house rules in by 11pm or stay out!! i wanna be able to lock my doors when i go to bed xx

DD3 is 18 now she doesn't have a curfew and didn't really have one when she was 17. At 17 she would still ask if it was okay to go somewhere and we would agre a time to come in depending on what she was doing. She wasn't allowed to just wander the streets but if she was at the cinema or a party she was allowed to come home after 11pm. She now doesn't have to ask us if she can go somewhere but she does have to tell us where she is going. I think 11pm is a bit early for a 17 year old to be back by if they are doing something specific. N

DS1 is 16, and his curfew is 12pm pick up if it's a party, 11pm for anything else (because we want to get to bed). This seems to be the norm around here.

Just had a conversation with a lady from Social Services, although in a different situation to you as we have a 13yr DD. We have tried the grounding many many times only to be met with I can do what I want. Social Services stated that we cannot forceably keep her at home and therefore if she chooses to walk out the door then we must let her. Call the police and report her missing. Do not enter into physical restraint. When asked the question of when it is dark and she is not home or answering the phone and at risk of attack and god knows what else, it was met with I know its difficult. As responsible parents, it would seem our hands are tied. Hope you son is more reasonable than our daughter !!
