Has anyone had experiences good or bad with brick/dumb phones for Year 7s?
My DS is going up to secondary school in September and although he hasn't expressed any interest, I'm thinking I should get him a phone for calls and messages. Poss gps tracking and music player, but not essential.
I'm a big fan of the smartphone free childhood movement so I definitely won't be getting him a smartphone, I'm addicted to mine enough as it is! He's ND and hasn't asked for one or shown any interest so I can't really see the point of introducing WhatsApp and social media right now.
He doesn't have great eyesight or dexterity and doesn't care about fitting in so I was thinking something like Doro 1380 Mobile Phone. https://www.argos.co.uk/product/1243172
