Retrieve photos deleted on iCloud that are still on my iPad?

Hello, I discovered yesterday that in order to make room on my MacBook my DD deleted all my documents (!) and some photos/videos that were taken on my iPad. She has emptied the trash on the MacBook (the irony!).

I just put my iPad on airplane mode and looked at my photos there, and there they still were! How can I save them? How can I make it so they upload and override the cloud, rather than the cloud/deletion override their existence?

Panic over! They were still on the cloud, she had just deleted them from the device. I'm very pleased. My phone is android so I do not understand these Apple ways!
