Facebook Woes

Can anyone help?
Recently Facebook has put restrictions on my account so I can no longer comment on posts.
After many hours of " talking with chat bot,I was told it was to do with deception and fraudulent activity, a month prior to the restrictions.
My inbox has no notification for the last six years, those I appealed and my restrictions were lifted almost straight away.
I can honestly say I would never engage or support fraudulent activity, I've often reported scams,hateful speech etc.
I've had about 30 chats with AI support, given all relevant information and tried umpteen different ways to try to raise an appeal.
I rely heavily on Facebook to keep in touch with what's going on, talk to friends, help find lost pets etc.
Don't want to erase this account as it holds 18 years of memories.

I've just remembered that about a month ago, Meta asked me to verify myself by taking a selfie which I did but didn't feel comfortable about it

Do you use the app, or Chrome?

I have found I cannot post while in Chrome but I've been able to in the app. I assumed they want to push people towards the app. I'm only a very casual user of Facebook.
