Facebook events in wrong timezone

This sounds bonkers. I have googled and tried many different things.

I live in the UK. When I have gone abroad and looked at Facebook the time zone updates. Great.

When I return it just will not go to GMT. Peoples events (cycling meets) are posted as 10am CET. Should be 9am GMT.

It should be an easy fix but I just cannot sort it. I went to try and post my own (dummy) event in GMT but it reverts to CET.

Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Is it on a PC or phone? Windows? Mac? Is the time on there showing correctly? Is only Facebook affected?

facebook on iPhone. Phone time is correct.

Have you tried logging onto Facebook on a laptop? Is the event timezone incorrect on there too?

On a laptop if you go to language settings can you change it to correct region?

I haven’t tried on anything other than the phone. I’ve tried via safari rather than the app but yes I will try on the laptop and report back. Thankyou.

Logging on to the laptop seems to have ‘reset’ the Facebook timezone on the iPhone app.

didn’t have to do anything. Just the act of logging in seems to have sorted it.
