What apps do you use?

I've only just discovered the category of "parenting apps" and it has inspired me to ask "what are the most useful apps for parents?"

Up to now I'm not really a heavy app user myself - just a basic to-do list and note taker (colornote), but discovering the category has lead to excitement and wanting to know what exists...

It doesn't have to be in the category of 'parenting apps': all apps you use to help you get through being a parent!
Covering all ages (cause my little ones are only getting older...)

From to-do lists to educational apps (for parents or children), reward trackers and anything else remotely linked to parenting or useful in everyday life.

I'm looking for inspiration and new ideas and new takes on what I'm using already.

(Full disclosure: I'm a developer too, so if you share any ideas of things you wish existed I might make it! [I've not made any apps yet, but if I don't find some of my ideas I may start making them])

Thanks!

(P.S. I'm also curious to know if I'm late to the party or if I'm helping lead the charge, hence the poll)

Someone somewhere needs to invent an app that does “everything” for schools and sell it in at UK government level. Every school has different apps and multiple for different things 🤯 lunch on one app, pay trips on another, letters on another, book parents evening on a link, after school clubs, see pictures of activities, contribute to PTA funds through a charity link, acknowledge/notify accidents - with paper still! Do their maths and English homework on another (Doodle), notify absence is still by email to the office, we get newsletter by email so I like many forget about special dates like non uniform…I have lost count of the apps we have…ours include Tapestry, Parentpay, parentzone, Arbor, ipal, etc etc, and every school is different…surely if the UK government funded one GREAT app then all schools wouldn’t have to waste so much of their budget on them!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯

Thank you all so much for taking the time to answer my curiosity!

I should have chosen my time for asking better as I've been away, and unable to discuss.

Love the description (and the username) @Thursday5pmisginoclock, totally get your frustration! My oldest is just starting school, so no doubt I'll have a similar experience to you soon! I can't believe that I missed the "There are too many apps I've got to use already" option!

Whomever posted that there are loads of good apps, I'd love to hear more about them!

Whether this thread revives at all or not, thanks again to everyone!
